Product Description

All major steel components feature either a powder coated or galvanized steel finish. This ensures your mill will stand up to nature’s elements. We recommend covering your mill when not in use, but if you forget, it’s good to know the mill will endure nature. The head moves up and down along galvanized steel channel via a very easy to turn and well-located hand crank system. The blade is kept lubricated by utilizing a water drip system to prevent sap from gumming up your blade.

The mill is capable of cutting 26″ (66cm) diameter logs up to 10’ 5” (3.1m) long, squaring cants at 19″ (48cm) or skimming veneers at as thin as 1/16″ (1.6mm). The HM126 Trekker will cut within 1″ (25mm) of the deck ensuring you maximize your usable board foot output. Note: This trailer package can easily be upgraded to the 16’11″ (5.1m) XL version at a later date if desired.

The HM126 Trekker sawmill is powered by a 9.5 HP 4-cycle Kohler gas/petrol engine. It features a slant cylinder design, with a cast iron cylinder bore and overhead valve for easy access. The Quad-Clean 4-stage air filtration system ensures only clean air enters the engine for maximum power and life of the engine. In addition, this engine is backed by a 3 year commercial warranty. Attached to the engine is an industrial centrifugal clutch system which offers “gas and go” efficiency and ease.

Track System

The head of our machine rolls along rigid 2.5″ x 4″ (63mm x 101mm) galvanized “L” channel which is cross supported with heavy duty 3″ x 6″ (76mm x 152mm) rectangle channels. These cross supports ensure the weight of the log is dispersed over a large bearing surface to avoid marking the log with indentations. These heavy duty cross supports also provide additional rigidity to the track system. The track also features a simple adjustable log support to securely hold the log while milling. The track allows for 10’ 5” (3.1m) log lengths. This trailer package can easily be upgraded to the 16’ 11″ (5.1m) XL version at a later date if desired. The track system is mated to the trailer package which features 1/4” (6mm) thick laser cut and bent side plates and tubular cross supports making the two work together to create an extremely rigid chassis.

The HM126 utilizes standard 1.25″ x 144″ x .042″ (32mm x 3658mm x 1mm) Lenox Woodmaster hardened tipped blades which are available through Woodland Mills. Blade kerf is kept to a minimum at just .080″ (2mm) to maximize the most amount of lumber per log.

The sawmill is covered with a 2 year warranty against manufacturer’s defect and excludes wearing parts (tires, belts, blades & bearings). The Kohler engine is covered by a 3 year commercial warranty which is honoured through any Kohler small engine dealer.

  1. From a log to the Woodland 126 Mill to the wood pile then my Coffee table I made today. My son Kevin milling the  jack pine.

  2. Hello Lori:  I'm enjoying our 126, once I figured out the tracking.  I've sawed over 32 logs and am very satisfied with the mill.  My son  Andy is sending pictures of a building that I built for my wife's quilting business.  The interior and exterior siding was sawed from Hemlock logs and also the interior the showroom.  Her business is called Olde Crow Primitive Country Crafts and Quilts in Harpursville, N.Y.   It certainly has been a rewarding experience, and I'm finding some folks are stopping by to purchase hemlock and poplar off the mill

  3. Lori, I love the stump grinder it really does a number on the BC pine roots (which are very dense). I’ve attached a picture of it attached to My Kubota M6040. Not sure if you are aware but I just received the HM130 sawmill which I just setup and will be using to saw all the wood I need for my farm. I really like the Quality / Price and Customer service that you provide at Woodland Mills . My wife and I are considering the 8” Chipper in the very near future as we would like to make our own Chips and Mulch for our animals. All the best, Dave

  5. I have four sons and we are enjoying the Woodland 126 Sawmill very much. First order of business when we got the mill operational was to saw lumber and put it in a makeshift kiln then build a shed over the mill. We did purchase a few treated post but for the most part the shed was built using lumber we sawed. The roof was from some metal scavenged from a re-roof of my sons house.A storm came thru and blew over an oak tree in my sons yard so naturally we put it on the mill. A co-worker was clearing some land for a pond and gave us the pine trees that were pushed down. With a little hard work transporting the trees we now have enough to saw for a while. I am very pleased with the Woodlands mill and have since purchased a track extension so that we can saw 16 feet lumber. Now that our sawmill shed is mostly complete, we are on a mission to saw a lot of lumber! The people at Woodlands were great to work with and they answered any questions and the product in my opinion is a great value. Thank each of you for your great product and service! Kenneth J.
