The hydraulic system uses a 10.9/3.0 ml/r two stage pump that automatically switches from high-speed travel to high-force splitting when resistance increases. This smart transition reduces cycle times while delivering the torque required for tough rounds, maximizing efficiency without sacrificing strength.

The 2” (50 mm) ball coupler tow hitch offers four height settings, allowing you to mount it in the position that best matches your towing vehicle. The height can be set to the lowest point of 14-5/8” and a maximum height of 23-7/16” from the bottom of the hitch. This flexibility improves towing stability, reduces strain on the splitter frame, and helps the machine track properly across varying terrain. The tow hitch comes equipped with a locking pin, connector chains, and a handle to make installation onto your tow vehicle easier.

A reinforced jack stand with locking pin secures the splitter firmly in position during setup. A secondary locking hole allows the stand to be pinned in the raised position during transport, keeping it horizontal and aligned with the main chassis for safe, secure towing.

The LS218 features secondary wedge-style supports that help initiate a split from the opposite side of the round when needed. This relieves pressure on the primary splitting wedge and allows you to work through knots, grain irregularities, and imperfections with greater confidence, reducing the need to carefully position every round before splitting.

The entire work area is built from heavy-duty 3/16-inch steel plate, reinforced underneath with gussets and ribs for added strength. The surface is also angled inward to help keep material centred and moving toward the splitting zone, so rounds stay where you want them during operation.

A solid steel axle supports a four-bolt hub and 8" steel rim fitted with 4.8–8 DOT-approved tires. Grease-packed bearings ensure smooth rotation, while a rear-mounted zerk fitting allows for proper servicing to extend hub life.

Each LS218 comes standard with a heavy-duty firewood bag measuring 38” x 38” x 48” high, giving you plenty of capacity for processed wood. The included rain cover helps protect your firewood from the elements, keeping it dry and ready for storage or transport.

The optional hydraulic lifting table connects directly to the splitter’s secondary hydraulic line and provides up to 250 lb of lifting capacity, making it easy to raise heavy rounds into the work area. Paired with the durable, spring-loaded rollback teeth that guide rounds onto the platform and prevent them from rolling back off, this setup offers a significant advantage when processing large rounds or reducing strain during long splitting sessions.

Optional bolt-on table extensions expand the front working area, providing extra room to stage rounds and keep split pieces clear of the splitting zone. When not needed, the extensions can be easily removed to reduce overall width and streamline storage or transport.
