RS8: A single-speed sharpener that runs at about 8 teeth per minute. Simple, reliable, and ideal for sawyers who sharpen blades occasionally.
RS15: Offers a faster single-speed cycle than the RS8, cutting sharpening time roughly in half while keeping the same hands-off simplicity.
RS30 PRO: Features two speed settings, sharpening up to 28 teeth per minute. It also includes a long-lasting CBN grinding disc and three cam profiles to handle a wider range of blade types.

Since all models operate automatically, you can let them run while you focus on other tasks. The right sharpener for you depends on how often you sharpen and how much you value reducing cycle time.

Instead of all teeth pointing straight, most blades follow a pattern where two out of every three teeth are bent upwards or downwards. This ensures that you are removing more material than the thickness of the blade, reducing friction and heat built up in the blade.

Over time, the set can come out of the teeth, which affects cutting performance. A tooth setter helps restore the original set, putting the right bend back into the teeth so your blade cuts cleanly and efficiently again.
