The 164 ft (50 m) long, 5/16" (8 mm) diameter steel cable provides plenty of reach to pull logs from deeper in the forest without driving your tractor into tight or difficult areas. A powder-coated red cinch hook makes it easy to route the cable around logs and quickly secure it back to the cable.

The spring-loaded clutch lever is designed to provide smooth, predictable engagement of the winch drum. This gives the operator greater control when starting a pull, repositioning logs, or working around obstacles.

Operating at 120–225 ft/min (0.6–1.15 m/s), the winch delivers a consistent pulling speed for greater control throughout each pull. Lower tractor engine speeds can also be used for lighter loads or more precise operation, helping reduce winching speed and fuel consumption.

The reinforced anchor plate bites into the ground during operation to create a stable anchor point for improved control and pulling performance. As logs are winched in, the ramp lifts them slightly off the ground, creating space underneath for easier choker chain attachment and smoother log transport.

The pivoting top pulley allows you to pull logs from different angles without repositioning your tractor, making it easier to work around obstacles and changing terrain.

Built from heavy-gauge steel throughout, the FW66 is designed to withstand repeated pulling loads and demanding forestry work. The rigid structure helps maintain stability when skidding larger logs and working in challenging terrain.

The deep-body design provides a wider spool for the cable to wrap evenly across the drum, helping reduce cable stacking and bunching for smoother retrieval and more consistent pulling performance.

The mechanical dry disc clutch provides direct engagement of the winch drum through a simple, durable design. Built for repeated forestry work, it delivers consistent operation under load.

Steel support feet keep the winch upright for convenient storage when not in use. Quick pins hold the feet securely up and out of the way during operation and transport.

Integrated side hooks provide convenient storage for the cable and accessories when not in use. They can also be used to route a control rope, allowing the operator to engage the winch from a position away from the tractor.

The integrated choker slots on the front guard provide a secure connection point for choker chains, allowing you to attach logs and drag them back to your woodlot or landing area for transport. Choker chains sold separately.

By allowing you to pull logs from a distance, the FW66 reduces the need to drive directly through your woodlot. This helps minimize ground disturbance while giving you access to logs in tighter or harder-to-reach areas.

The Series 4 PTO shaft, complete with shear pin, is included with the FW66 Forestry Winch.

The FW66 includes one 8' (2.4 m) Grade 70 forestry choker chain with a heavy-duty 5/16" (8 mm) diameter, giving you a dependable setup for securing and skidding logs. Add additional choker chains to skid multiple logs in a single pull for greater productivity.

The included clutch engagement rope allows you to activate the winch from a safe distance, keeping you clear of the cable and pulling zone during operation. This added separation helps improve operator safety while providing convenient control when beginning each pull.

The FW66 comes approximately 90% assembled with major components already in place, making installation straightforward and getting you up and running faster.
