The 164 ft (50 m) steel cable with a cinch hook gives you the reach to pull logs from deeper in the forest, helping you access timber without driving your tractor into tight or difficult areas.

The spring-loaded clutch lever is designed to provide smooth, predictable engagement of the winch drum. This gives the operator greater control when starting a pull, repositioning logs, or working around obstacles.

Operating at 120–225 ft/min (0.6–1.15 m/s), the winch provides a steady pulling speed that helps you stay in control throughout each pull. For lighter loads or more precise control, you can also operate your tractor at lower engine speeds to reduce fuel consumption and slow the winching speed.

The reinforced anchor plate bites into the ground during operation to create a stable anchor point for improved control and pulling performance. As logs are winched in, the ramp lifts them slightly off the ground, creating space underneath for easier choker chain attachment and smoother log transport.

The pivoting top pulley allows you to pull logs from different angles without repositioning your tractor, making it easier to work around obstacles and changing terrain.

Built from heavy-gauge steel throughout, the FW88 features a substantial frame designed for demanding forestry work and repeated pulling loads. Its overall weight and rigid construction help maintain stability when handling larger logs and tougher skidding conditions.

The 13" deep body provides more room for the cable to wrap evenly across the spool, helping reduce cable stacking and bunching for smoother retrieval and more consistent pulling performance.

The mechanical dry disk clutch gives you direct control over engagement, allowing you to start and stop pulls smoothly while maintaining consistent tension on the line.

The integrated steel safety bar and shield screen help protect both the operator and tractor from debris, shifting logs, and cable movement during operation. Built from heavy-gauge steel, this added layer of protection provides greater confidence when skidding logs in demanding forestry conditions.

Steel support feet keep the winch upright for convenient storage when not in use. Quick pins hold the feet securely up and out of the way during operation and transport.

Integrated side hooks provide a convenient place to store the cable and accessories when the winch is not in use. They can also be used to route a control rope, allowing you to operate the winch from a safer distance away from the tractor during winching.

The built-in choker chain slots on the front guard allow you to easily attach your choker chains to your logs and drag them back to your woodlot or landing area for transport. Choker chains are sold separately.

By allowing you to pull logs from a distance, the winch helps reduce the need to drive through your woodlot, minimizing ground disturbance and protecting your terrain.

The FW88 includes both a 2" ball receiver hitch and pintle-style hitch for moving trailers and other towable equipment around your property. It's a convenient way to get more utility from your tractor while reducing implement changes.

The Series 5 PTO Shaft, complete with shear pin, is included with the FW66 Forestry Winch, providing a reliable connection between your tractor and winch.

The shaft measures 31-1/8" (790 mm) when compressed and extends to 37-15/16" (964 mm), and like most PTO shafts, it can be trimmed to length during installation to match your tractor setup.

The FW88 includes one 8' (2.4 m) Grade 70 forestry choker chain with a heavy-duty 5/16" (8 mm) diameter, giving you a dependable setup for securing and skidding logs. Add additional choker chains to skid multiple logs in a single pull for greater productivity.

The FW88 comes approximately 90% assembled with major components already in place, making installation straightforward and getting you up and running faster.
