This upgrade converts your sawmill’s fixed blade guide into a self-indexing adjustable guide, allowing it to move closer to the wood during the cut for improved blade stability. By reducing the amount of unsupported blade travel, it helps keep the blade running straighter through the log, resulting in more consistent and accurate lumber.

Keeping the guide closer to the cut is especially important when milling larger logs or working on projects where straight, uniform boards matter, like woodworking, building projects, or producing finished lumber. With better blade control throughout the cut, you’ll see smoother results and less chance of blade wander, no matter what size material you’re milling.

Built as a premium guide system, it features stainless steel V-rollers and a precision-machined aluminum arm that extends and retracts smoothly as the sawhead moves. This durable, low-friction design provides reliable support at the blade while holding up to repeated use in demanding milling conditions.

  • HM122 & HM126 (2020 or newer) portable sawmills.
  • Not compatible with Woodland Mills portable sawmills 2019 or older.

ADJUSTABLE BLADE GUIDE POSITION

Allows you to set the guide position based on log diameter and cut width. This keeps support closer to the blade where it matters most during each pass.

REDUCED BLADE TRAVEL

Limits unsupported blade length during the cut, helping the blade stay aligned as it moves through the log. This becomes more noticeable when milling larger material.

STRAIGHTER CUT TRACKING

Keeps the blade supported closer to the workpiece, helping it follow a more consistent path through the log, especially on longer cuts or when finishing boards.

STEEL V-ROLLER GUIDE SYSTEM

Uses stainless steel V-rollers and a precision-machined aluminum arm that extends and retracts with sawhead movement, maintaining consistent contact with the blade during operation.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with HM122 and HM126 (2020 or newer). Standard equipment on HM126 14HP (2020+) and HM130MAX®. Not compatible with 2019 and earlier models.
