The Short Track Extension offers a compact way to increase your sawmill’s cut length. It adds 2' 6" (0.77 m) of capacity in a smaller, more affordable package, giving you more flexibility to expand your setup. It also gives you greater control over your total track length, making it easier to dial in the configuration that fits your space and your projects.

Like our 6’ 5” (1.95 m) extensions, the Short Track Extension is constructed from 1/4″ (6 mm) thick 2-1/2″ x 4″ (63 mm x 101 mm) “L” channel. It’s reinforced with 3″ x 6″ (76 mm x 152 mm) rectangular cross supports. These supports help distribute log weight across a wide surface to prevent indentations and add rigidity to the track system.

These extensions bolt directly to your existing track and can be combined with additional extensions to reach your desired cut length. Whether you're adding a little now or planning for more later, the Short Extension gives you room to grow in a smaller package.

MATCHED L-RAIL TRACK SYSTEM

Constructed from the same precision-machined L-rail profile as your existing Woodland Mills track. This creates a continuous running surface for smooth sawhead travel across the extension.

REINFORCED CROSS-SUPPORT BUNKS

Heavy-duty rectangular steel cross supports help maintain track rigidity and alignment across the added section. The design also distributes log weight over a larger surface area to help prevent track deflection.

MODULAR TRACK EXPANSION

Bolts directly to your existing track system and can be combined with additional short or full-length extensions. This allows you to build a track configuration that fits your space and milling requirements.

BOLT-ON INSTALLATION

Installs directly to your existing track system using the supplied hardware. The extension becomes part of the existing track structure with no modification to the sawmill required.
