Paul Bunyan Show 2025

A weekend of fun, new friends, and lots of sun

After months of planning and anticipation, Woodland Mills finally hit the road and headed to Ohio for the 2025 Paul Bunyan Show. The trip started at the Port Perry Head Office with Jay, Marek, Tyler C, Tyler S, Brenna, Melissa and Bailey in tow. Once the group arrived, it was full throttle to get products built and the booth set up for the weekend.

Setup Day

A huge shout out goes to Dan and J from Two Guys Timber Framing, and Nate from Bissell Maple Farm. With their help, we were able to have a mill on site, as well as a Multilander, Loglander 28, TFG55 GAS Wood Chipper, TF68 PRO Wood Chipper, TFG55 PTO Wood Chipper, WG24 PRO Stump Grinder, WG28 Stump Grinder, an RS30 PRO Sharpener and an RCS28 PRO Chain Sharpener.

The team worked hard and diligently to get the products put together and displayed for the early Friday morning open.

Day One

As the sun rose over the horizon, day one started on a fantastic note. At 8am the gates opened, and almost instantly the booth was full. With attraction to the Timber Frame build that Dan, J and their team were working on, the bourbon barrelled maple syrup, and the free hats Woodland Mills was giving away, the people crowded in.

The busy day allowed the team to talk to so many different people. From existing customers to people who had never heard of Woodland Mills before. From hobbyists, to businesses, to representatives from other companies. It was a great way to start off the weekend and had the team excited for the next day.

Day Two

Saturday started again at 8am, and the crowds flooded in almost instantly. Marek fired up the sawmill and spent most of the day showing how it ran and cutting boards. There was lots of interest in the Multilander, with people making note how much bigger it is in person and being generally impressed with the trailer.

In addition to the Multilander, the new RCS Chain Sharpener also had lots of interest. In the early afternoon, the Timber Frame build was nearing completion, and what an incredible structure it was. The boys from Two Guys Timber Framing and their friends showed off their new Dovetail Cabin jig to get the build all finished up. By the end of the day, there was a (mostly) finished structure.

Day Three

With the Timber Frame structure completed, the last day of the Paul Bunyan Show came and went way too quickly. The booth was full again, this time with some return customers who wanted to stop by one last time to say hi again, and to see the products. Lots of gratitude was shared as the team started cleaning the booth and getting things put away.

As things slowed down, Nate from Bissell Maple Farm was able to come over and chat with the team and share his story. Dan and J were able to chat with people who they weren’t previously able to chat with due to being so busy with the build, and the Woodland Mills team was able to reflect on the weekend and have some final goodbyes with customers.

Woodland Mills and the team is incredibly grateful to be a part of such a fantastic community of people, and even more grateful to finally be able to come and meet so many of you. Thank you again to all of those who joined us for the show, and to all of those who came and stopped by. We are so excited for next year.
